VoIP to Get Prohibited By Microsoft

The announcement made by Microsoft on the discontinuation of VoIP service is upsetting many mobile stores in the mobile market. It was clearly stated that Voice-over-IP applications will be wiped out of Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace. These voice over Internet protocol applications are gaining popularity because these help mobile users to make cheap Internet calls. If this facility will not come with the whole package of Microsoft’s Marketplace then it will no doubt annoy many mobile users. This announcement shows that Microsoft is in constant fear that the inclusion of VoIP in their operating services might crash down their sources of revenue generation.

It shows that new technology is the enemy of the traditional technology. Many critics think that even if Microsoft forbids the usage of VoIP service in its mobile operating system then also it cannot be said that mobile users will close their eyes from using the VoIP service. There are many websites on the Internet which are offering voice-over Internet protocol services at the cheapest rates. Microsoft earns lots of revenues by selling applications in the Marketplace and recently it requested many developers to associate themselves with this company for making new applications through which they can earn scores of profits.
